At Walk and Talk Mobile, we supply and repair mobile telephones and provide our customers with free advice and assistance.  Our business necessitated the need for a black and white photocopier and fax which was provided by Quadtronix Business Systems (a Canon iR1610F).  Quadtronix have been our supplier since 2003 and we have been more than happy with the service we receive and the charges.

This year Walk and Talk Mobile wanted to be able to produce colour posters for the shop and decided to expand business to offer our customers the facility of printing their documents on demand from portable media.  This would mean that we had to upgrade our current model because we would need to colour and black and white and ideally a faster machine.  The major concern I had was using customers’ media on our own pc’s.  I didn’t want to risk viruses and then there was the security issue from the customer, they wouldn’t want a copy of their document retained on our equipment.  I was also worried about the cost of a brand new machine as I wanted a good return on investment and it was a new service we were offering and therefore could take some time to build up this trade.
I contacted Chris Rumble, our Quadtronix Account Manager and asked him to drop by for a chat to discuss my needs and concerns.  I also contacted several other companies and arranged meetings to see if there were better solutions and prices available.

After all the meetings and quotes I received, the Quadtronix proposal was by far the most competitive  and met all our requirements with ease.  I also felt comfortable knowing that the after sales service and support had always been faultless and we had never suffered from loss of service.

Chris Rumble’s proposal was to install a refurbished Kyocera TASKalfa 250ci colour multifunctional.  It was alot less than purchasing a new one, offered very low running costs and gave us a high return on our investment.  We are now able to print, copy, scan and fax in black and white and full colour and 25 pages per minute.  Our original copier only provided 16 pages per minute.  One of the major concerns was also dealt with easily with this new TASKalfa.  It has the facility to print and copy direct from a USB memory stick.  We are now able to simply take the customers’ media, insert it into the device and print their documents easily and quickly.

This refurbished device has enabled us to upgrade to up-to-date technology, produce in-house colour posters, provide our customers with a new service and lower our carbon-footprint because it is much more energy-efficient.  I am very pleased that we chose to continue to use Quadtronix as their service and support has been meeting our needs well since 2003.
