Toys valued at over £38K delivered to underprivileged children.

We were proud to be asked to provide assistance at the Toy Fair which took place in January 2010 at Olympia.

Quadtronix supplied the vehicles and manpower to help load and unload and set up the stand. They then took part in networking among exhibitors to raise awareness of the work of Barnardos and invite them to donate their toys at the end of the fair.

On the final day, Quadtronix staff took part in the all-important trolley dash to collect the generous donations from exhibitors.

After the event, the toys were bagged, boxed, loaded into the vans and delivered back to the Barnardos' Divisional Office ready for distribution to the children's homes.

245 shoe boxes filled with gifts for the needy children of Uganda.

Quadtronix came to the rescue when one of their clients, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School in Crawley needed help with their Smile International Shoebox Appeal.

The children had filled 245 shoe boxes with items such as toiletries, writing materials, clothing, sweets, books, toys and games. They had wrapped and decorated the shoeboxes but had no way of transporting them to the collection point.

Quadtronix staff arrived at the school with a van and large cartons, packed the shoeboxes into the cartons, transported them to Orpington in Kent and unpacked all the cartons ready for transportation to the Smile International Distribution Centre in Uganda.

A shoebox full of gifts means such a lot to the children and families - not only the presents inside but the love that leaps out of the box, maybe unspoken but nonetheless heard.

In many instances this will be the only present the child has ever been given and they are greatly treasured, even the box and wrappers.

Every contribution makes for another happy child.
